The Art of Chess

The Art of Chess is a FIDE micro-brand for a festival of panels, discussions, and coded installations. It translates the game into a cultural platform—structured, visual, and interactive—extending chess beyond competition into design, media, and contemporary discourse.
Learning Outcomes: To design a micro-identity for FIDE that still felt professional and grounded in heritage, yet still embracing of emerging technologies was a challenge. Given that I had not worked with generative code and P5js, I saw this as an opportunity to create the system using that software. The result, I believe, is an appropriate, yet unexpected extention of the larger FIDE rebrand.
